'Shwmae LETS TALK'

A AGRICULTURAL COMMUNITY GROUP FOR TALKING & SHARING WITH EACH OTHER

Talking with each other is not a new concept for us in rural communities we used to be very good at it. Back in the day yes back in the olden days we would go to each others farms and help at harvest and anytime there was seasonal work to do. Today with the mechanisation and the feeling of time pressure we seem to be losing the art of just talking and listening yo each other without being in a rush to do something. What is more important than speaking to our neighbours and friends who are doing what we do or similar with no time pressure. That's the essence of this group, we are not going to sell anything to you we will not shut you down or change the subject we will listen and agree to meet monthly to support each other thats the offer here.

FAQ

What will we talk about ?

We will talk about what anyone wants to talk about. Often people talk about current issues they are worried about or that they might be struggling to get their head around it at the moment. e.g TB / Brexit / Financial /Retirement / Business and Personal concerns

Who will be there ?

So far we have had farmers and contractors and young farmers, owners occupiers and tenant farmers come and benefited. You do need to be over 16 years old thats the only stipulation.

What can I get out of it ?

People have been able to talk openly and get support from others who have either been in similar circumstances, which has given them comfort and reassurances. In the past two meetings since we launched they have shared business opportunities and knowledge. Which has given them a boost in their own lives by giving and also receiving.
